Project Summary
A full vibration monitoring program was deployed at 415 Smith Street, Brooklyn, protecting neighboring structures during active construction by S&B Construction of NY under NYC DOB Job No. B01229728.
Three Instantel MiniMate Plus seismographs were installed at 413, 415, and 421 Smith Street on March 2, 2026, covering all key neighboring building exposures. Weekly reports were certified by our licensed PE throughout the project. A peak particle velocity of 17.33 in/sec was recorded on March 2, 2026, triggering immediate notification to all stakeholders. Subsequent readings trended downward, confirming effective construction management. All data was benchmarked against USBM RI 8507 and OSMRE thresholds. Full compliance documentation was maintained and submitted to the NYC Department of Buildings throughout the entire monitoring period.
